Norbert E. Kaminski

Norbert E. Kaminski is a Professor at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology and Program Director of the Cell and Molecular Biology Program at Michigan State University (MSU). He also serves as Director of the Institute for Integrative Toxicology and the Center for Research on Ingredient Safety. His research focuses on immunotoxicology and molecular mechanisms of immune modulation by environmental agents.

His work spans three major areas: (1) Cannabinoid receptor signaling in immune cells, (2) Aryl hydrocarbon receptor-mediated B cell dysfunction by dioxins, and (3) Cytokine-driven airway remodeling from allergens and pathogens. Publications highlight molecular toxicology, regulatory science, and translational immunology.

Recent articles address systemic lupus erythematosus, HIV neurocognitive disorder, and computational approaches to toxicant thresholds. Current affiliations include leadership roles in MSU’s toxicology institutes.
