Nora Tischler is a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University, affiliated with the Centre for Quantum Dynamics and the Queensland Quantum and Advanced Technologies Research Institute (QUATRI). She holds dual PhDs in Natural Sciences from the University of Vienna (2017) and Macquarie University (2016), and has conducted postdoctoral research at Griffith and Freie Universität Berlin.
- Education: Doctor of Natural Sciences (Vienna, 2017); PhD (Macquarie, 2016); B.Appl.Sci. (QUT, 2011); B.Math (QUT, 2010)
Her research explores fundamental quantum-classical differences and their technological applications, focusing on quantum correlations, nonlocality, quantum state preparation, and stochastic modeling. Recent work includes demonstrating quantum memory advantages and developing photonic quantum networks.
Notable scientific awards include the Queensland Young Tall Poppy Science Award (2023), Griffith University Postdoctoral Fellowship (2019-2020), and Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship (2021). She supervises doctoral students in quantum communication, nonlocality, and photonic state engineering.
- Grants: ARC Discovery Projects (2025, 2022), ARC Centre of Excellence (2018-2025), Griffith University Internal Grants
As a group leader and Junior Deputy Director at the Centre for Quantum Dynamics, she advances quantum networking and foundational experiments. She also serves on the EDI committee for the ARC Centre of Excellence CQC2T and chairs workshops on quantum foundations.
