Nora Pashayan

Nora Pashayan is a Professor of the Epidemiology of Ageing at the University of Cambridge and an Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine at the Cambridge University NHS Foundation Trust. She serves as Co-director of Cambridge Public Health, Director of Training for the International Alliance for Cancer Early Detection (ACED), and Academic Theme Lead for Epidemiology in the MPhil in Population Health Sciences.

Education:
Nora holds multiple degrees, including:

• PhD in Cancer Screening: University of Cambridge

Her clinical training includes Family Medicine at AUB Medical Centre and Public Health Medicine in the East of England.

Research Focus:
Her work pioneers risk-stratified cancer screening, integrating biological insights with population-level interventions. She develops computational models to optimize screening programmes, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and reduced harm. Key areas include ageing epidemiology, early detection, and health equity in screening accessibility.

Leadership:
Nora directs training initiatives for ACED and oversees epidemiology curricula. She co-leads Cambridge Public Health, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations in public health research and policy.
