Nora Maria Lehner is a researcher at the University of Vienna's Department of Economic and Social History. She held a Praedoc position from March 2020 to August 2023 and conducted visiting research at Temple University (Jan–Mar 2024) and Free University Berlin (Apr–Oct 2024). Her work focuses on the history of sexualities, women’s and gender history, and biographical research with a particular emphasis on post-war Vienna’s commercial sexuality and memory cultures.
- Education: Doctoral Programme in Philosophy (since 2019), Mag. phil. in History/English & American Studies (2018), BA in Dutch Studies (2014).
Her current research explores commercial sexuality and sexual exchange in post-war Vienna (1945–1966), combining discourse analysis with biographical methods. She is affiliated with the Doctoral School of Historical and Cultural Studies, specializing in women’s history and social-economic spaces.
