Nora Lynn Gardner is an Associate Professor of Spanish in the Department of Languages and Literature at Lincoln University. She earned her Ph.D. and M.A. from Indiana University in 2018 and 2012, respectively, and her B.A. from Northwestern University in 2006.

Her current research projects include 'Filth, Francoism, Females and Fiction', which examines gender, narrative and theories of dirt and abjection in postwar female novels, and 'Dear folks at home': Langston Hughes, Resilience, and Race Reporting in the Spanish Civil War, a book project on Hughes' war correspondence.
Gardner's scholarly work from 2018 to 2022 consistently addresses the intersections of race, gender, and literary form in Spanish history, with recurring themes of abjection, queer theory, and memory studies across Francoist and postwar contexts.
