Nora Hanagan is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her academic work focuses on the ethical obligations of democratic citizenship in imperfectly democratic societies, bridging historical American thinkers like Jane Addams and Martin Luther King Jr. with contemporary democratic theory.
