Noor Mouton

Noor Mouton is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Groningen, and affiliated with the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). Her work bridges Movement Sciences and Neuroanatomy, focusing on motor learning, arm-hand function in burn survivors, physical activity in critically ill patients, and fatigue in pediatric populations.

• Education: MSc in Movement Sciences (Functional Anatomy, Special Movement Pedagogy) from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, with a minor in Rehabilitation Psychology.

Her research integrates anatomical expertise with rehabilitation challenges, particularly in burn recovery and neuroanatomy. She coordinates three key anatomy courses—Anatomy of the Musculoskeletal System, Neuroanatomy 1, and Neuroanatomy 2—emphasizing 3D functional anatomy through lectures and hands-on dissection labs.
