Noel Douglas is a Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire, affiliated with the School of Arts and Creative Industries. He teaches Graphic Design (BA Hons) and Animation (BA Hons). With over 30 years of experience as an artist, designer, and educator, his work spans Street Art, Augmented Reality, and climate justice advocacy.
His research interests include creative resistance, social activism through design, and the intersection of art and environmental movements. Notable projects include collaborations with Grenfell Next of Kin and Liberate Tate, as well as exhibitions at the V&A, Design Museum, and Taipei Biennial. He authored Website Graphics Now (Thames & Hudson) and designed the best-selling Regime Change Begins At Home playing cards.
He has participated in global climate summits and co-founded Occupy Design. His work critiques corporate sponsorship in cultural institutions and promotes climate justice. Noel also produces electronic music under Free Machine and contributes to artistic collectives addressing social and environmental issues.
