Nishant Agarwal

Nishant Agarwal is a Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Western Australia (UWA) Business School. He holds a doctoral qualification (Fellow in Management) from the Indian School of Business (ISB) and an MBA from IIM Calcutta. Prior to his PhD, he taught as an Assistant Professor at Amity University and held industry roles including Manager positions at American Express (Risk Modeling), Unitech Developers (Strategy), and Tata Consultancy Services (Software Engineering).

His research focuses on management accounting (cost behavior dynamics and capital market implications) and financial accounting (textual disclosures' impact on firm information environments). Key projects include studies on data breach laws' cost impacts, supplier cost decisions, and ESG investing behaviors. He has published in top journals like JMAR, MAR, and EAR.
