Ramji Balakrishnan is the Sidney Winter Professor in Accounting at the Tippie College of Business, University of Iowa. He holds a PhD in Accounting from Columbia University, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, and a BS in Statistics from the University of Madras.
Research Interests:
- Managerial accounting with a focus on incentive design and performance measurement
- Healthcare cost analysis and risk adjustment models
- Capacity planning under uncertainty
- Institutional pressures on financial decision-making
- Cost stickiness and resource allocation in multi-task environments
