Ningxin Wang

Dr. Ningxin Wang is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management and Organisation at NUS Business School, National University of Singapore. Her academic role involves teaching and research focused on leadership, decision-making, workplace health, and communication processes. She holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2017).

Dr. Wang’s research explores interpersonal communication dynamics in work and family contexts, particularly examining how social support processes influence individual and relational outcomes. Her work addresses topics like mental health help-seeking behaviors, family communication in low-income Latino households, and the role of technology in relational conflict. She has also conducted studies on acculturation processes among Mexican heritage families and the impact of communication in diabetes management.

Her teaching excellence has been recognized through multiple NUS Business School Teaching Excellence Awards (2021–2023). Her research has been published in journals such as Health Communication, Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, and Communication Monographs.

Dr. Wang’s academic journey includes degrees from Renmin University of China (BA Journalism, 2011) and the University of Illinois (MA and PhD in Communication). She maintains active research collaborations on topics like communication mediation in health campaigns, relational maintenance in digital contexts, and cultural variations in family communication patterns.
