Ning Gu

Professor Ning Gu is a faculty member in the Department of Architecture at the University of South Australia (UniSA), based at the City West Campus within the UniSA Creative school. His research focuses on architectural education, virtual design environments, neuro-urbanism, and culturally responsive design. He leads projects addressing linguistic barriers in global design education and co-designed the Good Practice Guide to support international students. His work explores immersive technologies like VR in architectural studios and parametric design integration. Recent projects include studies on neuroscientific methodologies in urban planning and intergenerational arts programs for CALD communities. He collaborates extensively with researchers across disciplines, including psychology and computer science, to advance evidence-based design practices.
