Fanke Peng

Associate Professor Fanke Peng is a Professorial Lead and Deputy Director of the Australian Research Centre for Interactive and Virtual Environments at the University of South Australia (UniSA). She holds a Senior Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy (2020) and specializes in design-led innovation, co-design, and systemic approaches to address social challenges such as healthcare, aged care, and mental health. Her work integrates transdisciplinary collaboration across fields like materials engineering and cognitive sciences.

Research interests include intergenerational storytelling, AR/VR/XR technologies, and cross-cultural design for healthy ageing. She leads projects focused on community well-being, including intergenerational play spaces and women’s health initiatives. Her contributions to education emphasize cultural intelligence and design thinking in global contexts.
