Ning Ao is a doctoral student at the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies (ACE), Lund University, with a focus on the Department of History. His research explores the dynamic interplay between Chinese ethnopolitics and Inner Mongolia's autonomy, emphasizing the fluidity of ethnic identity and its re-engineering through state policies.

- Rol of Islam/Muslims in China
