Nina Swoboda

Nina Swoboda serves as a Lecturer at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK) since 2009, affiliated with the Faculty of Performing Arts. Her extensive teaching career spans over two decades across multiple institutions including the Vienna State Opera's ballet and opera school, BG/BRG 8 Vienna, Studio IGRA, and national dance festivals.

Her educational foundation includes:

• Training as a kindergarten teacher and after-school teacher
• Specialized studies in "Pedagogy for Modern Dance" at Konservatorium Wien Private University (now MUK)
• Advanced professional development in contemporary dance, acrobatics, and artistry across Germany and international venues

Ms. Swoboda's expertise centers on contemporary dance pedagogy and interdisciplinary movement practices, with signature contributions including the "Dance Technique according to R. Chladek" methodology. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes artistic expression through structured improvisation and interpretive frameworks, integrating circus arts with traditional dance forms to develop versatile performers.

As co-founder and artistic-pedagogical director of the "Zirkuswerkstatt" (Circus Workshop) since 2007, she cultivates innovative collaborations between dance and circus disciplines. Her festival leadership at "Österreich tanzt" (2008) and "tanz09" (2009) demonstrates ongoing commitment to advancing contemporary dance education through practical performance platforms.
