Christina Medina

Christina Medina is a University Professor at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna since 2010, renowned for her contributions to contemporary dance as a performer, choreographer, and educator. Trained at Canada's School of Contemporary Dancers, she performed extensively with ensembles like Winnipeg Contemporary Dancers and collaborates with internationally acclaimed choreographers including Serge Bennathan, Rachel Browne, and Roger Sinha.

Medina's artistic research centers on evolving choreographic language through fusion of Filipino heritage, Manitoba prairie landscapes, and European methodologies. She pioneers integration of spoken text, live soundscapes, and theatrical techniques into dance, creating culturally resonant works performed across Vienna, Graz, Stuttgart, Toronto, and Kaunas. Her practice examines cross-cultural identity and interdisciplinary expression through embodied storytelling.
