Nina Pereza, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka, where she leads the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics. She is also the director of the Center for Genetic Education and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching Competencies and Communication Skills. Her work spans medical genetics, genetic education, reproductive medicine, and curriculum innovation. She is a recipient of multiple national and university-level teaching and science awards and is actively involved in mentoring students and leading scientific projects.

Her work also emphasizes innovative teaching methods and student-centered education in genetics and medicine.
