Nina Joyce Manning is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at Brown University School of Public Health. She is affiliated with the Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research (CGHCR) and co-founded the Transportation and Health Initiative with Dr. Andrew Zullo. Her work bridges epidemiology with health policy and interdisciplinary research.
Education: PhD in Epidemiology from Brown University (2015), followed by a NIMH Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Department of Health Care Policy (2015-2017).
Research focuses on improving safe mobility for older adults, studying motor vehicle crashes among those with dementia/cognitive impairments, and advancing methods for generalizing cluster randomized trials in nursing home research. She collaborates across disciplines including health services research and economics.
Teaching includes courses PHP 2200 (Intermediate Methods in Epidemiologic Research) and PHP 2232 (Contemporary History of Epidemiologic Methods).
Labs/Initiatives: Co-founder of the Transportation and Health Initiative, active member of the Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research.
