Nina Edwards is a Lecturer at Pratt Institute's School of Continuing & Professional Studies, where she has taught courses such as Intro to Fashion Illustration, Creative Careers, and Projects/Portfolio Development since Spring 2016. With over two decades of experience in graphic design, advertising, editorial illustration, and social expression fields, her work bridges traditional and modern elements, Eastern and Western aesthetics, and art with technology.
Her research and creative practice focuses on cultural identity, migration narratives, and cross-cultural artistic integration, as evidenced by her 2023 Governors Island residency project "From Island to Island" exploring connections between New York and Taiwan through visual art. She has exhibited extensively in New York City, Taipei, Shanghai, and other international locations.
Nina holds an MFA in Illustration with a Minor in Graphic Design from California State University, Fullerton (1997), and a BFA in Illustration focusing on Fashion Illustration from Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY (1993).
