Jimmy Huber

Jimmy Huber is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the School of Art at Pratt Institute, where he teaches in Manhattan. His academic journey includes an Associate degree (2019) and BFA (2021) in Graphic Design/Illustration and Communication Design from Pratt, following earlier studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Illustration. His career spans 12 years running a screen print shop with his brother, transitioning to academic roles after returning to Pratt during the pandemic.

Jimmy’s research and practice focus on graphic design, illustration, and screen printing. His career bridges commercial art, printmaking, and art storage systems (inherited from his father’s patented invention). His work reflects a hands-on approach to visual communication and design education.

Jimmy previously operated a screen print manufacturing facility for 12 years before selling it in 2013. He later co-founded his own studio with his wife’s support and became a father of two daughters during this period.
