Nina Buchmann

Prof. Nina Buchmann is a Full Professor of Grassland Sciences and Head of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences at ETH Zürich. She holds a PhD in Plant Ecology and has led research groups at institutions like the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry and the University of Utah. Her work focuses on plant and ecosystem physiology, biogeochemistry, and biodiversity's role in ecosystem services.

Education: Studied Geoecology at the University of Bayreuth (1984–1989), earned her PhD in 1993, completed a Habilitation in Botany (1999), and was a Humboldt Fellow at the University of Utah (1996–1999).
