Nikolou Kalomoira

Nikolou Kalomoira is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the Department of Mediterranean Studies, University of the Aegean, Greece. Her academic work bridges phonology, dialectology, and comparative linguistics, with a focus on Mediterranean languages.

• Education: B.A. (2003), Ph.D. (2008) in Linguistics from the University of the Aegean; Erasmus scholarship recipient for studies at Leiden University (2005-2006).
• Research Focus: Phonology, dialectology, morphology-phonology interface, language typology, and comparative studies of Greek, Arabic, and Turkish dialects.
• Projects: Participated in fieldwork for Greek dialect data analysis (since 2004); led research in educational initiatives for immigrant students (2011-2012); contributed to the Polynisiotikotita project (2013-2014).
