Nikoline Garner Oturai is a postdoctoral researcher at Roskilde University's Department of Science and Environment, affiliated with the Environmental Dynamics Center for Interdisciplinary Plastic Research. Her work focuses on plastic pollution, circular economy principles, and healthcare system sustainability. She collaborates with stakeholders in the CircleHealth project to reduce single-use plastics and textiles in hospitals.
Education: Cand. Techn. Soc. (Roskilde University, 2017).
Research interests include plastic policy, environmental behaviors, citizen science, and UN Sustainable Development Goals. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to address plastic pollution through policy, innovation, and stakeholder engagement.
Recent articles highlight circular economy strategies, hospital plastic management, and the intersection of regulation and innovation. She actively participates in global initiatives like the Scientist Coalition for an Effective Plastics Treaty.
