Niklas Dahl is a Doctoral Student in Theoretical Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy, Lund University. He has been a doctoral candidate since autumn 2021 and teaches philosophy of language since 2022. His research is associated with the LU Profile Area: Natural and Artificial Cognition and he maintains an ORCID profile (0000-0001-9157-594X).
His research interests include:

Dahl's doctoral project investigates what connects our use of language to things in the world, specifically focusing on how we understand words and sentences when used to coordinate our interactions with each other and the world. His work spans theoretical areas including philosophy of mind, theories of meaning, and logical expressivism.
His publications demonstrate strong focus on philosophical logic, theories of meaning, and intersections between Nietzschean and Sellarsian thought. His research addresses foundational questions about reference, meaning, and language-world relationships through both historical and contemporary analytical approaches.
Dahl has participated in academic conferences including EPSSE (2025) and the Cyprus Metaethics Workshop (2025). He has organized the Lund Early-Career Conference in 2023 and 2024, demonstrating active engagement in the philosophical community.
