Niki Woods

Niki Woods is a Senior Lecturer in Theatre and Performance Practice at the University of Salford's School of Arts, Media and Creative Technologies, where she also serves as Artistic Director of the New Adelphi Theatre. Her dual role bridges academic teaching and professional artistic leadership, programming events that directly respond to student curriculum and staff research initiatives.

Her research centers on Digital and Interactive Performance, Contemporary/Immersive Theatre, and Postdramatic Theatre practices. With over two decades of experience as associate artist with Blast Theory digital art group, she has toured nationally and internationally, bringing practitioner insights to her academic work. Her recent co-edited handbook Making Postdramatic Theatre extends existing resources for teaching devised performance.
