Dr. Nik Asmah Nik Hussain is a Senior Lecturer at the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia. She is also a Consultant Cardiologist at Sunway Medical Centre. Her expertise spans cardiology, hypertension management, and healthcare delivery systems, with a focus on improving outcomes for Ischemic Heart Disease and diabetes care.
Education:
- MBBS (Medicine) from Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland (1997)
- MRCP (UK) (2000)
- Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education (Monash University)
Research & Projects: Co-chair of Year 2 Management Committee and contributor to Theme 4 (Clinical Skills) at Monash. Active in multi-centre clinical trials, including NIH-funded studies on health education via telecommunication, diabetes care interventions, and obesity-diabetes management. Current project aims to improve outcomes for Ischemic Heart Disease through healthcare delivery modalities.
