Dr. Nii Addy serves as Associate Professor in McGill University's School of Continuing Studies (SCS) and Associate Director (Africa Outreach) in the Deputy Provost's Office for Student Life and Learning. He develops cross-sector partnerships and training programs supporting McGill Mastercard Foundation Scholars' transition from academia to entrepreneurship and employment in Africa.
His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Organization Studies and International Comparative Education from Stanford University, a Master in Public Affairs (Development Studies) from Princeton University, and a B.A. in Economics from Swarthmore College.
Dr. Addy's research examines institutional change in multi-stakeholder partnerships across societal sectors (business, public agencies, civil society) and industrial domains (agriculture, nutrition, health). Using mixed-methods approaches, he investigates effective collaboration for sustainable development, with current projects focusing on entrepreneurship in agri-food systems across North America and Sub-Saharan Africa.
He has extensive consulting experience with organizations including the UK Department for International Development, World Bank, Hewlett Foundation, and Mathematica Policy Research. His work emphasizes knowledge-sharing tools and leadership training for partnership processes in Anglophone and Francophone contexts.
