Dr. Nigel Morgan is a Professor of Social Sustainability at the University of Surrey's School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, part of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He holds adjunct roles at Auckland University of Technology and Swansea University. His research focuses on social sustainability, gender studies, and place marketing, with a particular emphasis on aging, disability, and inclusive tourism practices.
Education: PhD (Economic & Social History, Exeter University, 1991), BA (Exeter University, 1986).

He co-founded the Critical Tourism Studies Network (2005–2015) and leads projects on age-friendly tourism, gender-based discrimination, and folklore-driven destination branding.
