Dr. Nida Kirmani is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Her research focuses on gender, Islam, urban violence, and insecurity, particularly in Karachi’s Lyari region. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Manchester (2007).
