Nicos Christodoulides

Nicos Christodoulides is a Lecturer in Periodontology at the School of Dentistry, European University Cyprus. He has been employed there since 2009 as a Scientific Collaborator. His academic background includes a DDS from Aristotle University Thessaloniki (2002) and an MSc in Periodontology from Radboud University Nijmegen (2007).

His research focuses on photodynamic therapy applications in periodontal and peri-implant treatments, clinical trials, and implantology. He has authored studies on adjunctive therapies for periodontal diseases and peri-implantitis, published in journals like the Journal of Periodontology.

Dr. Christodoulides has received the 2009 EFP Graduate Research Prize and was awarded ITI Fellow status in 2013. He actively contributes to professional organizations, including the Cypriot Society of Periodontology (Board Member since 2007) and the Pancyprian Dental Association (General Secretary, 2013–2016). His work emphasizes translational research and dental education through study clubs and congress organization.
