Nicolette Blum Meister serves as Director of the Logan Museum of Anthropology and NAGPRA Coordinator at Beloit College, alongside her role as Faculty Director of the Center for Collections Care (C3). She is an Instructor in the Museum Studies Program, teaching courses on collections management and preservation. Holding a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an M.S. in Museum Studies & Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, her career includes work at institutions including the Denver Art Museum and Oxford’s Pitt Rivers Museum.
Her research focuses on museum administration, NAGPRA compliance, and innovative collections care practices. She has secured over ten major grants from NEH, IMLS, and NAGPRA to enhance preservation efforts and repatriation initiatives. Her publications emphasize preventive care for archaeological materials, curricular integration of museum collections, and best practices in small museum stewardship.
