University of Glasgowمعرفی
Dr. Nicole Perry-Hauser is a Lecturer in Molecular Biosciences at the University of Glasgow, where she leads research on adhesion G protein-coupled receptor (aGPCR) biology, particularly focusing on their roles in neuropsychiatric disorders. Her work aims to elucidate the signal transduction mechanisms of aGPCRs, which remain underexplored despite their therapeutic potential.
- PhD in Pharmacology, co-mentored by Dr. Vsevolod Gurevich and Dr. T.M. Iverson at Vanderbilt University.
- Postdoctoral research at Columbia University in the Department of Psychiatry with Dr. Jonathan A. Javitch.
Her research integrates rodent models to study ADGRL3 (latrophilin-3) and its impact on dopaminergic neurotransmission. Her publications emphasize aGPCR activation, arrestin-mediated signaling, and kinase inhibition mechanisms.
Scientific Awards include the Leading Edge Fellowship (2021), Dean’s Award for Exceptional Achievement (2018), and P.E.O. Scholar Award (2017). She has held fellowships from the American Heart Association, National Institute of Mental Health, and Columbia University Institute for Developmental Sciences.
Dr. Perry-Hauser actively contributes to the Adhesion GPCR Consortium and has presented internationally, including at the Gordon Research Conference (2023) and Adhesion GPCR Workshops (2024, 2022).
