Nicole Peeler is an Associate Professor of English and Director of the Writing Popular Fiction Program at Seton Hill University. She specializes in Modern/Postmodern fiction, gender/sexuality studies, and author platform development. Her teaching focuses on creative writing, composition, and building authorial identities.
Education: B.A. (Boston University, 2000) and Ph.D. (University of Edinburgh, 2008). Her research explores pre-ideological value formation and power dynamics in literature. She has presented at major conferences including AWP and the Library of Congress, discussing topics like romance canonicity and creative writing program methodologies.
Her publications blend academic criticism with popular fiction, including urban fantasy novels for Orbit Books. Notable works include the Tempest series and award-winning short stories. She received the RT Book Reviews Reviewer's Choice Award in 2013 for her contributions to speculative fiction.
