Nicole P. Farrow

Nicole P. Farrow is an Assistant Professor of Special Education at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), College of Arts and Sciences. Her work focuses on equity, teacher development, and policy in special education, with expertise in culturally responsive practices and legal frameworks.

Her research examines disparities in special education identification, disability advocacy, and the intersection of autism with gender and race. She integrates qualitative inquiry methods to analyze systemic inequities and policy impacts.

Recent publications address unconscious bias in equity for students with disabilities, race-disability intersectionality, and gender-specific perceptions in autism education. These works highlight systemic challenges and policy reform opportunities.

Public Schools (2018-2022) and Prince George's County Public Schools (2009-2018).
