Dr. Nicole Martin is a faculty member at Kennesaw State University's Department of Psychology since 2011. She leads the Infant Studies Laboratory, providing undergraduate research opportunities. Her work focuses on developmental psychology, particularly infant emotional development, cross-cultural family dynamics, and adoption-related mental health. She has mentored numerous students in research projects presented at national conferences like the Association for Psychological Science (APS) and Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD).

Dr. Martin has collaborated with students on studies presented at conferences since 2013, including notable venues like APS (Washington D.C., 2023; Chicago, 2022) and SRCD (Austin, 2017). The Developmental Research Collective (DRC), which she leads, explores questions about moral reasoning, social norm internalization, and adoption's role in family dynamics.
