Nicole Holt

Nicole Holt is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, Virginia Tech. She serves as Director of the Master of Public Health (MPH) Program and holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Practice in Epidemiology. Her research focuses on oral health and childhood obesity prevention, integrating epidemiological methods to address public health challenges.

Dr. Holt earned her DrPH, MPH, and BS in Microbiology from East Tennessee State University. Her professional experience includes leadership roles at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), where she was Assistant Program Director and Coordinator of the Epidemiology Track in the MPH Program. She also held positions as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Old Dominion University and Assistant Professor at EVMS.

She is an active member of the American Public Health Association and Virginia Public Health Association, contributing to interdisciplinary efforts in population health. Her work emphasizes translational research and community engagement to improve public health outcomes.
