Dr. Nicole Forrester is an Assistant Professor (currently on leave) in the Sport Media program at the RTA School of Media within The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her academic background includes a PhD in Sport Psychology from Michigan State University, an MBA from Queen's University, and degrees from the University of Michigan. She is a licensed Kinesiologist and registered with the Canadian Sport Psychology Association.

Her research focuses on elite athlete performance, athlete narratives, and the interplay between media and psychosocial factors in sports. She explores how athletes transition from 'good to great' and the psychological dimensions of high-performance athletics.

Dr. Forrester serves on the Board of Directors for Commonwealth Games Canada and the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario. She previously founded the Sport Management program at Niagara College. Her media experience includes roles with Fox Sports Network and CBC as a sports science reporter and host. As an Olympian and 8-Time Canadian Champion, she has represented Canada in 20 national teams and holds NCAA records from her time at the University of Michigan.
