Dr. Nicole Chimera is an Associate Professor in Kinesiology at Brock University's Faculty of Applied Health Sciences. Her research examines lower extremity movement patterns to enhance injury prevention strategies in athletic populations. She investigates neuromuscular stabilization mechanisms and develops evidence-based interventions to reduce sports-related injuries.
Her work integrates clinical movement screening tools with ergonomic assessments to evaluate injury risks. Recent publications focus on biobanding approaches for youth sports participation optimization, postural factors affecting occupational performance, and longitudinal analyses of injury patterns in multi-sport competitions.
