Nicole Bauer, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of European History at The University of Tulsa's Kendall College of Arts & Sciences and Associate Director of the Oklahoma Center for the Humanities. She specializes in cultural and intellectual history, focusing on early modern France, secrecy, and self-identity, while integrating contemplative practices into academic resilience.

Her research explores intersections of early modern French history with themes of secrecy, Enlightenment intellectual frameworks, and contemplative practices.
