Nicolas Holzschuch is a Senior Research Scientist (DR2) at INRIA Grenoble-Rhône-Alpes, leading the Maverick research team. He has held academic positions at institutions including École Polytechnique (France), University of Cape Town, and LORIA/INRIA Lorraine.
- Research Focus: Illumination simulation, frequency analysis of light transport, advanced rendering techniques (subsurface scattering, real-time ray-tracing), and material modeling.
- Teaching: Courses on computer graphics, rendering, and virtual image creation at ENSIMAG, MOSIG, École Polytechnique, and Polytech Grenoble.
- Funding: Research supported by the French National Research Agency (ANR) through the ALTA project.
