Nicolas Dupont

Nicolas Dupont is a researcher at the Centre for Ecological and Evolutionary Synthesis (CEES) at the University of Oslo, specializing in marine ecology and climate change impacts. He joined CEES on the OILCOM project led by Øystein Langangen in September 2016, after serving as a guest post-doctoral fellow from the Institute of Marine Research in Bergen (Norway) from 2014-2016.

Dupont earned his PhD in 2010 from the University of Bergen with a thesis titled "Water clarity as a forcing factor of marine ecosystems." His educational background includes a Master's degree in Marine Research and Marine Environments from Université Paris 6 (France) in 2005.

Dr. Dupont's research focuses on zooplankton ecology and population responses to environmental changes, particularly climate change impacts on Arctic marine ecosystems. He employs various modeling approaches including statistical modeling, population modeling, and behavioral modeling to study how marine species respond to changing environmental conditions.
