Nicola Nigro is a Contract Professor at the Department of Experimental Medicine (DIMES) at the University of Genoa. He teaches Genetic Techniques for the Biomedical Laboratory Techniques degree course and is affiliated with the Hygiene Unit Laboratory at San Martino Polyclinic Hospital in Genoa.
His research focuses on histopathologic and microscopic analysis of infectious disease manifestations, particularly dermatological pathologies like monkeypox. His recent work integrates virology, pathology, and advanced imaging techniques to study cutaneous lesions.
