Nicola Maher

Dr. Nicola Maher is a Research Fellow at the Australian National University (ANU). She investigates drivers of observed climate change and future climate projections using climate models, with a focus on large-scale variability modes like the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and impacts of variables such as temperature and precipitation on global populations. Her work also explores uncertainties in climate projections through single model initial-condition large ensembles (SMILEs), particularly targeting Pacific Ocean dynamics.
