Nicola Ives is a Lecturer at the University of Huddersfield, School of Human and Health Sciences, serving as Year 2 Lead and Admissions Tutor for the BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy program. She graduated with a BSc in Clinical Language Sciences (Speech and Language Therapy) from Leeds Metropolitan University and earned an MA in Education Practice at De Montfort University in 2021.
Her research focuses on Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly camouflaging and masking in young people, alongside expertise in healthcare education, assessment, and educational technology. Nicola’s recent publication explored reflective assessment frameworks using Universal Design for Learning principles.
