Nicolò Crisafi is a Research and Teaching Fellow in Italian at Pembroke College, University of Cambridge, and Director of Studies of Modern Languages at the same college. His research focuses on medieval Italian literature, particularly Dante Alighieri, Petrarch, and Boccaccio.

His research explores narrative theory, the role of readers in literature, language-affect dynamics, and intersections between narrative forms and worldviews. His forthcoming monograph 'Dante’s Masterplot and Alternative Narratives in the ‘Commedia’' examines paradoxes and detours in Dante's work. He previously held a fellowship at ICI Berlin (2018–2020) for a project on utopian narratives in medieval poetry.
Teaching interests include Dante studies, medieval Italian literature, and modern Italian literature. He has taught courses on Dante's Vita nova, Petrarch's Canzoniere, Boccaccio's Decameron, and Italian language proficiency.
