Nico den Bok is Guest Professor of Systematic Theology at ETF Leuven, specializing in medieval theology and philosophical theology with expertise in Augustine, Duns Scotus, and Trinitarian thought.

Den Bok's scholarship explores theological concepts of freedom, personhood, and divine-human relationships across patristic and medieval traditions. Current research examines Augustinian election theology and embodied knowledge of God, employing historical-systematic methodologies. He has held professorships at Protestant Theological University and ETF Leuven.
Publications include monographs on Richard of St. Victor's Trinitarianism and edited volumes on divine love in Duns Scotus. His articles in journals like Nederlands Theologisch Tijdschrift analyze Christological will theories and theological responses to climate change.
Den Bok co-founded the Stichting Utrechtse Studiedagen conference series and participates in the Research Group John Duns Scotus, fostering dialogue between historical theology and contemporary issues.
