Nico Gräßler

Dr. Nico Gräßler is a researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (IFW Dresden), where he focuses on the synthesis and characterization of advanced materials for energy storage applications. His work spans sustainable Li-ion battery materials, 2D materials, and mixed anion compounds, supported by expertise in analytical techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM, XPS, and DSC.

Dr. Gräßler’s research emphasizes nanostructured materials, including Li-rich antiperovskites for cathodes and heteroanionic 2D semiconductors. His recent publications highlight crystal growth, structural transitions, and electrochemical mechanisms in novel materials, with funding from the DFG.

He supervises PhD and Master’s students, including Mohamed Abdullah Abdullah Mohamed (2019–2024) and Hani A.A. Saadallah (2022–present), and collaborates with institutions like the University of Oslo and Kirchhoff Institute for Physics.
