Dr Nicky Jacobs is an Associate Professor in Psychology and Counselling at the School of Educational Psychology & Counselling, Faculty of Education, Monash University. She coordinates the Master of Counselling program delivered in Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and has extensive clinical and academic experience in psychology, trauma, bullying, tele Mental Health, and academic achievement, with a focus on quantitative analysis.
Research Interests: Her work spans digital technology in therapy (e.g., apps, e-learning), social media impact, cognitive behavioural therapy, critical incident management, and dignity in work-integrated learning. She investigates childhood aggression, self-control, self-esteem, and social skills, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to mental health and education.
Her recent publications emphasize intergenerational trauma among Holocaust survivors and the psychological wellbeing of students in professional education contexts. The research demonstrates a strong trend toward understanding trauma resilience, digital mental health tools, and ethical dimensions of clinical and educational practice.
