Nick van Dam

Prof. Nick van Dam is a Professor at Nyenrode Business University, specializing in corporate learning and leadership development. He holds the Chair in Corporate Learning & Leadership Development and serves as Academic Director of the International Masterclass L&D Leadership. His career spans over 30 years in global consulting roles at McKinsey, Deloitte, Siemens, and advisory work with over 100 international clients.

Education: Bachelor’s in Education/Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Master’s in Organizational Sociology from Universiteit van Amsterdam, and a Doctorate in Human Capital Development from Nyenrode. He completed executive programs at IMD, Wharton, and Harvard Business School.

Research focuses on integrating positive psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy into leadership development. Major publications include Handbook Organization & Management and Advancing Authentic Confidence. His work emphasizes emotional flexibility and scalable leadership models.
