Nick Nikiforakis

Nick Nikiforakis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Stony Brook University. His research focuses on practical security and privacy issues, including web security, browser fingerprinting, attack surface reduction, DNS security, mobile web browsers, online tracking, cybercrime, and client-side defense mechanisms.

His work spans multiple subfields, such as browser extension fingerprinting, cryptocurrency scams, and deception-based defenses. Recent publications address containerized application dependencies, web archive evasion techniques, and blockchain typosquatting.
